Cellulite

Cellulite is superficial fat which grows in stages over a period of time. It is caused by the protuberance of subcutaneous fat into the dermis creating an undulating dermal-subcutaneous fat junction adipose tissue. Cellulite is actually a fantasy name for collections of fat which push against the connective tissue beneath a person's skin, that causes the surface of the skin to dimple or pucker and look cumbrous.

Cellulite is the lumpy substance similaring cottage cheese. The most common areas of the body affected by cellulite are the buttocks, hips, thigh and betimes the lower abdomen, nape of the neck, and upper parts of the arms.

There two types of cellulite. The first type of cellulite is from any ‘pinch' or ‘constriction' of tissue in the thighs or buttocks. The second type of cellulite is the ‘mattress' or ‘orange peel' complexion which a woman may have in her natural stance or when lying down, which is referred to as cellulite.

Cellulite is a "cosmetic" condition which happens mainly in women. It strikes women but very few men, probably because of a difference in cell structure between men and women. Another causes of cellulite including  high intake of toxins, such as coffee, and alcohol and lack of exercise may increase the prevalence of cellulite.
