Makeup Tools

Applying makeup is much simpler and more fun with the appropriate tools for the job. High-quality makeup tools can help you apply makeup fairly and accurately. If you wear powder, you require a powder puff or brush. If you wear an eye pencil or pencil lip liner, a pencil sharpener is vital. For a cheap and simple way to boost the makeup you already own, although, think about adding a few additional pieces to your makeup toolbox.

The two main brushes which you require are for powder and blush, both of which should have soft, natural bristles. The powder brush has a large head of rounded bristles, while the smaller blush brush is a bit tapered in order to define your cheekbones. Nice quality brushes are not cheap, but you can find excellent options in art shops. Wash your brushes once in a whilse, using a gentle shampoo, to make sure thay they last soft and clean.

A plastic eyelash curler can be heated for a few moments with a hair dryer to give lashes an added zip in the curl. This is a wonderful choice to mascara, as well as applying mascara after using the eyelash curler. An eyelash curler is an doubtlessly essential tool for your makeup. While it may look like a mini very ancient torture device, this tool is actually extremely helpful in opening up the eye and adding a dramatic look to any makeup creation.

Powder puffs are another basic vital makeup tool. Round puffs, angled sponges, disc puffs and foundation sponges are just a some of the kinds available. Sponges are generally made of foam, and puffs consist of cotton combinations. Basically, both are relatively inexpensive, generally under five dollars for a pack of four to six. For sanitation purposes, use plastic spatulas to remove cream products from the original container.

Some useful makeup tools:

Foundation

There are many various types of foundation, like powder, cakes, liquids, emulsions, creams, and gels. To make foundation last apply moisturizer first giving the foundation a base. Dry skin will soak up the foundation if not given that base. For oily skin use an oil-free moisturizer and powder foundation. They prevent the skin against dirt, environment pollutants and wind.

Concealer:

Concealer is a cover up cream that hides the spots, dark circles, blemishes, spider veins etc. For observable imperfections like very dark circles and birthmarks use a yellow concealer. Use of loose powder to set concealer under the eyes should not be done as this can stress lines around the eye area. When concealer is used with the foundation then it should suit with skin color. Moisturizer should be mixed with the concealer for dry and normal skin when applying under the eye area.

Eye shadow

Eyes can be made ponderable by adding shadows to your lids in good manner. Prior using eye shadows on the lids, always test the colours on the back of the hand to see the vehemency. Always use branded cosmetics. They are present in different forms like sticks, gels, pencils, pressed powders and creams etc. The most frequently used are pressed powders. The effect of eye shadows is not long lasting, but to get a better effect apply them with a wet brush.

Eye mascara

There are three kinds of mascara:

  • Water based.
  • Water proof.
  • Mixed variety.

Mascara is a liquid which coats the lashes, make them long, lustrous and attractive. It gives the finishing touch to your eyes. Water based mascara are most commonly used as they dry up rapidly. Water proof mascaras are very popular and preferred. Don't use waterproof mascara every day. It's very hard to remove and will take out your lashes as well. Mixed variety is combination of both water based and water proof mascaras. They are the latest type of mascaras.

Lip stick

Lips look perfect if you define them with a lipliner first and then apply your lipstick. Lips are very sensitive part of the body, so only branded lipsticks should be used. Lip stick brightens and enhances your appearance. A good is which moisturizes the lips and guards it from sun. Lips should be clean and dry so that lipstick stays longer. A matte lipstick looks very sexy and also stays on much longer, especially if you have a lot of lines around your mouth.

Blusher

To soften blush, apply some powder over it. You may go a slight heavier in the evenings, depending on a look you want to achieve. For applying blusher different ways are there. For example: to accent the length of face apply blusher in a triangular shape. Starting at the temples and narrowing towards the centre of face will emphasize the cheek bones and shape your features.
