Makeup Powder

Makeup powder is used to make sure that foundation stays on longer, it will take the shine off your face and gives a more finished look. Mineral powder make up can used by anybody with any type of skin. Loose powder is nearly always the preference of the professional. It is especially perfect if used in the morning to set your makeup, as it will keep you makeup looking fresh all day. prior applying powder ensure that there are no lines or creases in your makeup; once you have put powder over them they will stay put. If your face is very moist daub it with a tissue first or your powder will clump.

When applying mineral foundation powder, just consent the moisturizer to be completely absorbed. In India, a little bit of rice powder is first applied to absorb the extra moisture. While using mineral powder during makeup, always use downward strokes and a bit dust the face, adding more layers as needed.

Makeup powder sets the makeup foundation and concealer, and is an meaningful stage if you have used a cream foundation and want to contour with blush as it will allow the blush to be applied easily. Many mineral makeup powders have foundation, concealer and a powder rolled into one. Suited for all skin types, they spare natural coverage, and add a translucent glow to the face. They help to create a intact matte finish and you feel as if you are not wearing any make up at all. Superior of all, the make up can be removed very easily. To apply makeup powder, use a powder puff or a powder brush and apply to your whole face lightly.

Commence at the forehead and brush from right to left in long, light strokes working down the face. Apply powder by rotating a large powder brush downwards and outwards. If you brush upwards the small hairs on your face will stand up and make the remaining of your makeup look pilose. If you have applied too much eyeshadow or blusher dust a light layer of powder over the top to soften the colour.

Types of makeup powders

There are two type of makeup powder:

  • Loose powder: This type of powder provides your face a very smooth, matt look and lasts longer than pressed powders.
  • Pressed powder: Pressed powders are easy to bear around so they are perfect for touching up your makeup during the day.

Uses of makeup powders

  • It absorbs oil and prevents shine.
  • Makeup powders gives a super smooth sheen to your skin.
  • It sets the rest of your makeup so that it will last longer.

Applying makeup powder

  • Blot the face lightly with a tissue, specially over the forehead, nose and chin.
  • Pick up the powder on the puff and press it liegely on the face, one area at a time.
  • Do not apply too much powder at once. Better to blot oil later in the day than have a cakey, overdone look to your face.
  • Now using a soft, thick powder brush, festinate away the excess, with downward movement to stop the powder getting caught in the fine facial hair.
  • Dust your face with powder. Stroke your face gently to cover all areas evenly.
  • Wipe the brush on a tissue, and then use it to remove extra powder from your face.
