Makeup Brushes

Make up brushes are a very influential part in applying make up properly. These brushes are very much alike in style, design, materials, quality and purpose. Many professional makeup artists use a specialized cleaning solution for their brushes. These solutions are present at most beauty supply stores. They come in different sizes for the application on different features. Big round brushes are needed to apply loose powder, blusher and highlighter whereas small and thing brushes are required to apply eyeshades and lip colours.

There are natural fiber brushes and synthetic brushes gettable in the market. Natural brushes have hair of squirrel and goat, that are better in the texture than the pretended ones. Brushes come in wooden and rubber handles.

Cleaning should be done depending on the usance of the brushes. The more frequently one uses them, more cleaning they require. One can clean them in brush cleaning solution or in mild shampoo solution.

Different makeups require different brushes. An eyeliner brush is important if you use powder or cream eyeliner. Other then that, you can expend your money elsewhere. If you use a heavier concealer, a sponge brush may be helpful for dragging across the stick and smoothing the concealer prior applying it. Concealer brushes are about the similar size as eye makeup brushes, and may occassionally be made of sponge instead of natural hair.

High quality, natural hair brushes are made from animal hair, that is degreed by length, preciseness of cut and fineness. Many of the best powder brushes are made from badger hair: sable is often used for petite, finer brushes due to its silky texture. Squirrel hair is quite worthy, and may even be mixed with cheaper but also very fine pony hair.

How to clean makeup brushes?

  • Run the bristles of the makeup brush under warm running water.
  • Apply a small amount of shampoo to bristles and work into a light lather.
  • Rinse bristles thoroughly under running water. You will notice that the water leaving the brush is tinted from old makeup.
  • Continue rinsing until no color leaves the brush.
  • Allow it to air-dry.

Makeup brushes for eyes

  • A metal lash comb will help separate your lashes even with the clumpiest mascara wand. Do not waste money on the plastic version...they just don't cut it.
  • Brow Brush will also help to with blending your eye brow pencil for a more natural look.
