Hair Removal

There are many options present to remove unwanted hair, but few options to get rid of hair permanently. Hair color and skin type are the key factors which affect the success of laser hair removal. It's most favorable on people with dark hair (brown or black) and light skin. Nevertheless, it can also be used on people with darker skin types. Plucking hair with tweezers is an efficient way to remove hair but can be very time consuming.

The hair shaft must be long adequacy to grasp with tweezers. Medications such as steroid hormones and birth control pills, or the surgical removal of sex glands, may encourage abnormal hair growth. Hair removal has been practiced for centuries in nearly all human cultures. The techniques used vary among times and regions, but shaving is the most common method. Laser hair removal is used for people who want to remove undesired body hair.

Common treatment sites include legs, armpits, upper lip, chin and bikini line. A cream called eflornithine is present by prescription to treat facial hair growth (generally in women). The cream is applied twice a day till the hair becomes softer and lighter - more like vellus hair.

Multiple treatments can continue the duration of hair loss, but hair regrowth is possible. Antiandrogen medications are another way which doctors suggest to reduce the appearance of unwanted hair. As the hormone androgen can be accoutable for hair growth in unwanted areas, antiandrogens can block androgen production. Shaving is the most temporary way of hair removal because it simply cuts the hair off at the skin surface. Shaving does not make the hair shaft thicker, darker, or grow faster or slower.

Bleaching is though not a hair removal method, but rather a way to make the hair less observable. Bleaching is done by applying a chemical to the desired area, that removes the pigment from the hair. Sugar waxing is a known form of hair removal which works in the same way conventional waxing does. A thick sugary substance uniform to caramel is spread on the skin in the direction of hair growth. The hair becomes embedded in the caramel. Kalo is a true permanent hair removal solution. Kalo does not require to be used for the rest of your life. Kalo is effective in reducing or removing ingrown hairs and shaving bumps.
