Vitamins for Skin Care

Vitamin necessary for healthy skin. Vitamin A helps with fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin E is an antioxidant. It can help forfend free radical damage. Vitamins B-3 (niacin) and B-5 (pantothenic acid) have become popular summations to skin-care products due to their ability to assist in retaining moisture.

Vitamin B-3 is a relatively new ingredient on the marketplace but has illustrated great promise, offering a milder options to acidic exfoliators like glycolic and salicylic acid, which some feel is too abusive for their complexions. B-5 is a more common skin-care additive, and is broadly recognised for its (along with Vitamin E) moisturizing ability.

Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) has been one of skin-care’s hot sellers for the past many years due to its confirmed effectiveness as an antioxidant. Antioxidants are a detracting natural defense against “free radicals,” unstable molecules that age the skin as a result of pollution, smoking and sun exposure. Topical Vitamin C can protect the skin from UV damage caused by prolonged sun exposure by humiliating the amount of free radical formation.

Vitamin-E (alpha tocopherol) is another powerful antioxidant that is normally used in lotions and creams for its moisturizing cpacity. Vitamin E and vitamin C have antioxidant properties and due to this fact, they help a great deal in preventing any kind of skin damage.

Topical Vitamin-K is a good additional explanation against discoloration under the eyes. Usually used as a treatment for spider veins, topical Vitamin K enters straight the pores all the way to the affected capillary or artery and helps to clot the blood. This can easily be blended into your Base Oil. Using 10-30% Vitamin E Oil keeps the skin in good condition and enhances the growth of new skin cells. It also increases the circulation, so don’t worry if your skin gets somewhat reddish. Vitamin E Oil is a very oily matter so if you have oily skin you need to mix it with a high dosage of ‘thin’ dry Vegetable Oil.

Beauty Skin Care Tips

Beauty TipsWash the face with a mild, unperfumed soap, lather briefly and rinse thoroughly. If the skin feels dry and tight after washing, try using. a superfatted soap which incorporates emollients such as anolin or mineral oil into the soap base. Other causes of dryness: over-washing, incomplete rinsing, hard-water or sensitivity. Try a cream cleanser instead.

Before starting cleansing of your face, tie the hair well backfrom face. Also remove contact lenses if you use them.

Take as much care removing make-up as putting it on. This is because incompletely removed particles may block pores and contribute to skin problem, while flaking mascara or eye make-up can irritate eyes.

Skin a make-up remover over face and lips, around the eyes and down the neck as far as you have applied make-up. Leave on for a few minutes, to help the make-up dissolve. Then take a folded tissue or a piece of cotton wool and wipe it over the face and neck in an up\yard and outward direction.

Eyes need special attention since the skin around them is delicate and the eyes are susceptible to irritation even infection, if make-up or make-up remover come too close.

When removing mascara, attend to lower and upper lashes, underneath as well as on top. Place a moistened tissue underneath the lower lashes then smooth a small amount of the cleanser onto a cotton wool bud and roll it over top and lower lashes together.

Most face foundations, blushers, powders and make-up bases are water-soluble and can usually be efficiently removed with soap and water. Use gentle sweeping movements and continue with successive pieces of cotton wool until the last comes away clean.

Eye Makeup Tips

Eye Makeup TipsYou can improve your eye shape by experimenting with colour and texture. With some skilful shaping and shading, the eye can be made to look-completely different. Identify the shape of your eyes and follow the eye makeup tips given.

For small eyes : Pluck the eyebrows fine to give maximum eye area. Use a little shadow under the lower lashes as well as on the top of the lid. Blend the shadow on the upper lid from the centre outwards, curving it upwards towards the browin the shape of a wing . Line both the lids, extending the meeting line fairly out,to increase the length of the eyes; Mascara both the upper and lower lashes, using two coats on the outer lashes only.

For wide-set eyes : Pencil the eyebrows close to each other. Add a little shadow onto the bridge of the nose or blend your shadow close to the corner of the nose and stop at the centre of the upper lid. To make the eyes appear a little closer, start outlining the upper lid from the inner corner of the eye, bringing it near the nose ridge, leaving just the width of one eye in between the two eyes. Continue the line towards the outer corner but not quite extend-ing up to it.

For close-set eyes : Shape the eyebrows so that they don’t have the close-together appearance. Use the eyeshadow on the upper outer half of the lid extending above the eye and under the brow. To offset the closeness of the eyes, start drawing the eye line on the upper lid away from the inner corner. Draw it up and out. Similarly, the lower line should not begin from the inner corner.

For deep-set eyes : Use a dark eyeshadow under the eyebrow, but not on the lid, where if you want to, you can use a lighter eyeshadow. -Line only the lower lid and extend the line fairly out and up.

For round eyes : Make sure the shape of your eyebrows is angular. Blend your eye shadow from the centre of the lid and deepen it at the outer edge of the eye, extending it a little beyond the outer corner of the eye. Line the upper lids, starting from the inner corner and extend it out and up so as to suggest length.

Moreover, one must take into consideration age, colour of hair. Carelessness can mar the looks. Lipstick is considered a morale booster, and is essentially helpful in giving her self-respect and self-confidence.

Lipstick can change the look of lips - broad lips can be made to look thin and vice versa and the shape of lips can also be moulded to some extent. If you have a small face use light shade on lower lip and darker tinge on upper lip. Likewise, apply light shade on upper lip and dark on lower lip if lips are thin. For broad lips reduce the outline considerably. On the contrary for making thin lips look broad increase the outline. Uneven lips can be given desired shape according to your face by making an appropriate outline.. For thickness apply two coats. Remove it before going to bed. It is advisable to use a good quality product; sub-standard product can spoil the skin.

Care for Combination Skin

A combination skin requires special care since you will have to combine two different types of care for the two different zones. One for the oily T-zone and another for the dry areas. Cleanse the oily part with an astringent or a strong skin tonic and the cheeks shoufd be treated as you would treat a dry skin. Lubricating and nourishing are the main requirements of the dry zone. Apply a good moisturiser during the day time and a rich nourishing cream during the night. The oily T-zone should not be put under the heavy creams, as that will only aggravate the oiliness. For that area, just a mild, oil free moisturiser is fine.

Why does the hair split?

The hair splitting is due to a slight bio-chemical imbalance (lack of certain fatty acids). This reveals itself under a microscope as a tiny mushroom set like a parasite on each hair. In spring this capillary phenomenon is normal and goes away without special treatment. You should not brush your hair too hard, use too many chemical based products or use the blow dryer.

It is probably the quickest method of hair removal, but it has to be very regular, because regrowth is very fast. A stubble can appear within tree days, or even less.

You should shave towards the direction of hair growth and exercise caution by applying a ild antiseptic solution, in case of nicks or cuts.

If there is bleeding apply ice to stop it.

Shaping Your Eyebrows

The frame of your eyes should be attractively shaped. Eyebrows should be plucked gently from underneath to form a clearly defined arch. Here is a trick for finding out the correct length of your brows. Hold a pencil in front of your nose and parpenticular to it, with its base being close to the outer nostril. The top end of the pencil will point to where the eyebrow line should begin. Gradually shift to top end of the pencil until it croses the extreme ends of the eyes. the tip end of the pencils will indicate where the brow line should end.
