Manicure


In a professional manicure nails are mildly shaped then the nail plate cleaned with either non-drying polish removers or special soaks. Routine manicures (and a balanced diet ) make fingernails strong. A manicure is a beauty treatment for your fingernails and hands.

Discretely from cleaning, nourishing, softening your hands, a manicure will also include filing and shaping the nails and applying nail polish. Professional manicures are a treat, but you can give yourself a manicure at home without going to dispensable expense.

A regular Manicure keeps nails tidy and improves the appearance. Manicure can cure just the hands, just the nails, or both. A banderole manicure usually includes filing and shaping of the nails and the application of polish, but there are also also speciality manicures. Manicures usually involve the filing, polishing, and painting of fingernails. A manicure may also comprise the application of artificial nail tips, acrylics or artificial nail gels.

Many manicures can include the painting of pictures or designs on the nails or applying small decalcomania or imitation jewels. It also helps the nails grow and stay secure. A standard manicure usually includes filing and shaping of the nails and the application of polish, but there are also specialization manicures. Treatments for hands commonly include soaking in a softening element and application of hand lotion. A similar treatment performed on the feet is called pedicure. 

Professional manicures are a treat, but you can offer yourself a manicure at home without going to unnecessary expense. A hot oil manicure is a particular type of manicure which cleans the cuticles and softens them with oil. This style of manicure is notorious with male clients. It is highly counselled for persons with extremely dry skin and nails also nails that are brittle.

A manicure may also involve, some nail art process the application of artificial nail tips, acrylics or artificial nail gels. It improves the skin by leaving the skin soft and pliant. Those who cannot extend regular manicures in beauty parlors and salons can now do it easily at home by following some simple steps and acquiring some basic materials needed for manicuring.

Steps to do Manicure at Home

  • Brush the nails neat and apply a little cuticle cream. Soak the tips of fingers for a few minutes in warm soapy water.
  • Shape the nails by filing with an emery board, using the fine side, from sides to centre. If the nails break easily or are in bad state, file them short but not too low on the sides.
  • To help the varnish to last, a coat of polish base is next applied. This also gives a better finish to the final varnish. The second coat of varnish should not be applied until the base is thoroughly dry.
  • Twist a little cotton wool round the tip of an or stick and with this work a little cuticle remover round the nail, gently pushing the cuticle back lifting it slightly but being careful not to damage the new nail which is under it.
  • Before varnishing or polishing the nails they must be cleaned of any remaining grease. For this, wipe the nails again with varnish remover.

Purpose of manicure

  • Prevent hang - nail formation.
  • The accompanying massage of the hands improve and increase the blood circulation, suppleness and flexibility of the hands and wrist. 
  • Prevents nail damages like splits, tears, and fragile tips.
  • Discourages wrinkling of the skin on the hand.

Common manicure tools and supplies

Tools:
  • Bowl of warm water.
  • Hoof stick.
  • Nail file, buffer, scissors and brush.
  • Orange Stick.
  • Nail clippers.
Supplies:
  • Massage lotion.
  • Nail polish.
  • Hand cream.
  • Nail polish remover or nail polish remover wipes.
  • Cotton pads.
